Portfolio Project 

Title: The Decision 

Setting: School; her room; her kitchen; her bathroom  

Characters:  

• Pregnant teenage mom (Mac Young) 
• single mom (Ms. Young) 
• Teacher (Mrs. Cooper) 
• Boyfriend (Daniel) 
• Friends (small group of girls) 

Actions:  

• Montage of her running to class and hanging out with her friends her 

• taking the pregnancy test in bathroom 

• slamming of the front door 

Plotline 

• Montage of her in all her classes learning and stuff to show she is studios and people like her.  
• Her boyfriend will be in the montage to show the relationship and there will be no dialogue in the montage 
• In the montage, her room will be covered in debate medals and trophies to show the audience she is smart 
• The montage will end with her in her bathroom staring in a mirror. Her mom will knock and say “Honey I’m going to run some errands” and leaves.  
• Next shot would be of a positive pregnancy test. She freaks out. 
• She has a moment of freak out and a planned parenthood pamphlet is seen around the house (might be earlier in the film: undecided) 
• She grabs the pamphlet and slams the door leaving the audience not knowing what she decided to do 
• The title of the film will appear after the two minutes
